Built By Best Friends

Long Table Farm was founded in 2018 by best friends Morgan Di Santo and Kate Sopko. Morgan and Kate met their freshman year at Bard College, in New York’s bucolic Hudson Valley. Morgan, originally from Los Angeles, grew up visiting her family in Durango, developing a deep connection with the land and community. In 2017, she completed the Old Fort Farmer in Training Program, learning through experience how to successfully farm in southwest Colorado.

As first generation, beginning farmers, Kate and Morgan worked tirelessly to make Long Table Farm what it is today. During their partnership, they quadrupled their production, tripled their CSA membership, and wore through more boots than you can imagine. In 2022, after feeling fulfilled with her time farming in Colorado, Kate returned to her home state to pursue her next chapter. The lessons they learned together are innumerable and will continue to guide Morgan in operating Long Table Farm.
